Summertime Sadness

Brooklyn, New York, NY, United States
By Haleigh In Non classé

Lately Paris seems to smell a bit, streets covered in poverty and gypsy thieves and never as romantic as they used to be. Spring completely eluded us there, so I was happy to be sent stateside for the weekend for some work events. Certainly a nice occasion to spend some time with east coast family and lie by the beach to kick off summer. Sand between my toes, summer sunsets, and new york nights can always fix me up just right.

It’s a shame Paris doesn’t have a seaside, makes it almost impossible to enjoy the hot weather. And it smells, indeed..
    Beau pics, as always 🙂

Oh Hayleigh, those first two pictures are especially beautiful (and just the dose of sunshine I’m craving on this rainy day; spring and summer seem to have completely eluded England too).

Hope you’re having a wonderful time in the US!

I don’t even know what’s on the east coast of France…I’m stuck in the far west and am going to the South for the beach but the East looks dreamy and warm (warm?).

Such lovely snaps… Spring has eluded us here in Vancouver, too and I’m feeling very disillusioned with the city. Wish I could pack up and run away somewhere!

Loving this post and wishing I could jet back to NY for a few days to be with both of my girls…photos of B are amazing…maybe Paris is better taken in smaller doses???…the grind of every day reality often casts a dark cloud over the “romantic” City of Light…you could always move back to the US and reclaim your status as starry eyed visitor to France…just sayin…love, mommy <3

Looks like bautiful days! I love the picture of the sea gull. It looks kind of majestic, in some way. Enjoy your days in the sun!

I have a little question for you again: im going to be in Paris during fête de la musique. And i wonder if you have a advise of where one should go (which park, place etc?) to have a nice “fête” . – Or is it maybe best just to wonder around in the city?

    🙂
