Getaways

Saint-Germain-en-Laye, France
By Haleigh In Non classé

Getaways are good for the soul, and you don’t have to get far to get them. I love adventure, but sometimes I feel like there are a million new places  to get my thrills so close to home. Sometimes there’s a little getaway to look forward to months in advance, like a friend’s recent wedding in Fontainebleu. But anytime is a good time, so when a friend shows up downstairs on a Thursday morning with a car you didn’t know they had to whisk you to Saint-Germain-en-Laye for a coffee and a stroll, say yes like I did.  I live for moments like these, little glimpses of freedom outside the city limits…

Okay, so the other day I was reading some London blogs and the photos were making me miss one of my homes so much – you’re now making me miss my French home so much too! Beautiful photos, though! x

The color of the flowers on that bush is killing me! It’s so so beautiful! One day, one day I’ll have a beautiful experience where I get called on from outside my window, with a foreign car waiting in my driveway, with chips and waffles at midnight, and loud giggles ’till forever o’clock. Your experiences are always so fluffy, nostalgic, and beautiful!
