It’s hard to let go of summer as it slowly slips away…even when we may be ready for autumn and getting back to work. There’s something so romantic about those final days, free from the layers that will soon cover us to keep us from the cold, free from the walls that will keep us warm inside when all turns grey inevitably, free from the responsibilities of work we manage to forget now and then. The last days of summer, this the twilight of our freedom and never has it felt so amazing as in the golden hour when most of it’s behind us. I promise all year I won’t forget this feeling, barefoot in the vineyard, best friends at my heels, secret swing sets waiting in the trees…

You posts always make me dream and reflect my own world. As excited as I am for fall I’m also mourning the passing of summer. Beautiful post Haleigh!

Last summer was really fun, you know… These photos of yours can just simply describe how to end it in a very emotional way. I love the photos you have on the swing and everything else… Let’s just welcome the new season with more lovely photos, right?
Beautiful dreamy photos, made me want to go back to spring.:)
omg lovely!!!! <3
where's the pink skirt(?) in the 3rd pic from?
It is a vintage find from Audrey 🙂
Ethereal photos 🙂 … They make me think of David Hamilton ones a little 🙂
Now, imagine a steady world always sunny and without seasons. Wouldn’t it be boring in the end. And wouldn’t you wind up missing the rebirth of everything when spring comes back? 🙂
I’m amazed by those photos. great photographer, he did amazing job!
And you also, of course (:
Actually I took the photos and the girl on the swing is my friend, so yes, me the photographer thank you!
I couldn’t agree more those last days of summer are always bittersweet. It looks like a dream. Your photos are always so inspiring to me x
