Chateau du Portail…heaven on earth…a home away from home…magic. I could spend a million days in the garden here, watching the fish and frogs in the mote that meanders around the grounds, floating in pool, lying in the sun. Between the grass underfoot and blue skies above grows what seems to be a million and one flowers who’s scent blows through the trees with the wind, the sound lulling you to sleep on a chaise longue in the late afternoon. Eventually evening falls and you wake up and find fresh towels waiting beside you. Claude waves to you from the terrace inviting you for some rosé and hors d’œuvres. The sound of birds in the distance and Sinatra and Porter trickling out the window of the den blend together as you watch the clouds float away and Pierre pass by, fresh vegetables from the garden in hand, on his way back to the kitchen to prepare dinner.

Before you know it the sun sets, the dinner tables are set, and Claude invites you for dinner inside….but that my friends will have to wait for next time. Until then see you on twitter and facebook. Bisous!
Gorgeous! I want to be there too! There are some magical places that can make you stay there forever.. Amazing 🙂
Could you get any cuter with your head scarf?? Lovely.
Oh that looks just heavenly! I absolutely adore your scarf/little turban. I think it’s the best accessory on the beach or by the pool side. I have one myself that I love to wear just like that to protect my locks from the sun!
It does look like paradise! Loving the head scarf as well… I might have to try that out. By the way you write beautifully.

Absolutely beautiful, Miss Thing! So incredibly dreamy – this photo collection looks like it was taken from the set of a movie. I want to be there!! xx
So glad you got to experience it. My day at Chateau du Portail was like a dream… one of the best days of my life–seriously! And that little jackie… looks like maybe the girl? I was mostly hanging out with Adrien while I was there. He was soooo cute!
Amazing place..perefct for rest and relaxation….peaceful atmosphere…..i love it !!
Ahhh, makes me feel relaxed just looking at these! X
they way you describe it!! yes, i get the instant vibe. that is what i love about your blog, you can create a certain atmosphere (it is very hard to describe). it is like you can capture the beauty in/of life. the photos are insane and they emphasize the vibe. my favorite photo is the one in the pool with the Chanel. perfect with the Sinatra song, i think i am in the 50’s, but the plastic doesn’t fit in that decade. love it
Wow I’m not dying to take that trip! Looks stunning!
Just a Silhouette

I love the vintage vibe of your Chanel “bathing cap.” And this place looks so blissful and relaxing with its antiquity in the backdrop cradled by lush gardens.
